Principal Engineer – App Architecture & DLT Innovation

CLS Bank International / CLS Group | New Jersey, USA 2020 - Present

Leading application architecture with distributed ledger innovation for global FX netting infrastructure (CLSNet) serving major financial institutions like Goldman Sachs, Citadel, Citigroup, JPMorgan etc.

Key Contributions:

  • Architected end-to-end security frameworks for mission-critical FOREX netting systems, ensuring 99.9% uptime while managing billions in daily transaction volume.
  • Designed and deployed business layer within production DLT platform, automating trade validation, netting, and netting with 80% automation rate and 30% error reduction.
  • Migrated on-premises service to AWS along with service ‘s extension to non-SWIFT participants.
  • Mentored/Led 10+ professionals in distributed systems, and security-first design patterns.

Lead Software Engineer – Multi-Stack Enterprise Systems

Enterprise Financial Solutions / Technology Leadership Track 2011-2020

Designed, developed, scaled and supported enterprise-grade applications supporting high-throughput financial transactions, payment processing, and netting workflows. During this journey, I have played various roles working with multiple FinTech clients like Credit-Suisse (UBS), CLS Bank etc.

  1. UserGateway: A GUI for CLS Ops & members to manage static data including controls.
  2. PaymentGateway: A reengineered project to leverage CLS FX process to handle SWIFT, SIC and FED messages.
  3. PBS-FO: Platform which process the (Equity, Fixed Income, Repos)/wires (Payment, Receipt and Transfer) for prime customers of Credit - Suisse
  4. GMO: Project to deliver global middle office post trade functions to NY customers.
